Working on behalf of KOMODO, this project took David to the Canary Islands to photograph three influencers as they explored the archipelago as part of a destination marketing campaign for Visit Spain.
The brief was to create a library of aspirational travel lifestyle imagery that showcases the Canary Islands as a year-round destination — capturing the islands’ unique combination of dramatic volcanic landscapes, golden beaches, and vibrant local culture through the lens of three influencers living the experience authentically rather than performing for the camera.
Shooting influencer-led travel content requires a particular sensitivity — the imagery needs to feel natural and unforced while still meeting the technical and creative standards of a national tourism board campaign. Balancing those two demands across multiple locations and personalities over the course of a trip is a discipline that sits at the heart of modern travel and destination photography.
