Two social media campaigns produced for Columbia Sportswear, each built around a contrasting interpretation of the same core theme — the relationship between outdoor clothing and the landscapes, urban and wild, where it earns its keep.

The first campaign, Escape the City, took David to the Lake District with a mother and daughter — shooting them on a walk through the hills in a set of images that feel genuinely warm, unhurried, and real. The casting was deliberate — a mother and daughter rather than professional models brings an authenticity and emotional resonance to outdoor lifestyle content that is increasingly rare and increasingly valued.

The second campaign, Explore the City, reframed the outdoor proposition entirely — following two models through an early morning in London, from sunrise at the top of Primrose Hill to coffee in Regent’s Park. Shot in the quiet golden hour before the city woke up, the brief captured Columbia’s clothing in an urban environment without losing any of the brand’s outdoor spirit.

Together the two campaigns reflect David’s ability to interpret a brand across contrasting environments and briefs — moving from the fells of the Lake District to the parks of North London while maintaining a consistent, authentic visual language.
