Commissioned directly by Blink — an employee intranet app built specifically for the frontline staffing sector — this project involved creating a bank of authentic lifestyle imagery for use across Blink’s branding, app, website, social media, and print marketing.
The brief was rooted in honesty. Blink’s proposition is built around making frontline workers feel genuinely understood by their employers — so the imagery needed to reflect real working life rather than polished, aspirational scenes far removed from the people it was trying to reach. Candid, truthful, and human was the only approach that would work.
For the first chapter of this ongoing project, David spent a day at a Stagecoach bus depot in Catford, South London — documenting the daily reality of life as a frontline transport worker. From the depot floor to the cab, the brief was to find and capture genuine moments that speak directly to the Stagecoach workforce and the people who support them.
